Special Olympics Motueka supported by Volunteer Nelson
Come and join our friendly group! We meet every six to eight weeks (hui is organised to suit everyone's availability) on an evening in Motueka, usually around 7.30 pm for about an hour or an hour and a half). We are a small group but we have a great camaraderie. We have a lot of laughs together. The opportunity is available for approximately four hours a month.

HQ is a youth space provided by Whanake Youth, open Monday - Friday, from 3:30pm - 5pm, for rangatahi aged 13 - 24. The volunteers role is to support young people to have fun, connect, create, chill, and learn, in a space that is created by young people, for young people.
Warm Water Exercise Group supported by Volunteer Nelson
For a time investment of less than 2 hours a week you can have a substantial impact on the lives of people with disabling illnesses or injuries. We need a volunteer to watch people as they exercise in the Nelson Hospital hydrotherapy pool to ensure that they are as safe as we can make them.

The Kai Rescue Kia Collection Support doesn't drive but supports the driver for collecting, inspecting, loading and delivering perishable and nonperishable product from donors and delivering the food to the Kai Rescue depot. We are looking for someone who has flexibility across the week to relieve our regular volunteers when they are unavailable. The role is quite physical, to would suit people who have a reasonable level of fitness and no injuries.

The Hapori Fruit and Veg Box volunteer will help customers pick up their affordable, pre-ordered boxes once or twice a month on a Thursday (3 pm - 5.30 pm).

The Nelson Environment Centre has opportunities for friends or some people who is keen on fashion to price our clothing donations in the ReUse back shop. Knowledge of what are good brands that would attract a high price would be a definite advantage. Most items would be at affordable prices to keep them in circulation but some are directed to our Auction. Come and hang out together with purpose!

The lunches we offer is an important part of the wellbeing of our older clients, and we are looking for someone who can pick up the lunches from our local supermarket and bring it to our day programme. Our volunteers are vital to the work we do at Presbyterian Support. In fact, we couldn't do it without them!
