    Alzheimers TAURANGA supported by Volunteering Services

    These sessions, held in the mornings, can be two to three hours in duration and are held in Tauranga , Papamoa, Katikati and Omokoroa. The volunteer will interact with the clients and help with activities as per an established programme which is led by a Team Leader.

    An opportunity has become available for an Admin Assistant. You would primarily be working directly with Carol, the founder of FPAS. Time required will vary month to month, typically between 5-10 hours per month. At times you will need to work at Carol’s house, the rest of the time you can work from home. Some meetings will be held face to face, others via Zoom.

    At Alzheimers Tauranga we offer Cognitive Stimulation Therapy sessions which is a specific, evidence based programme of group activities and stimulation. The aim of CST is to get people's minds active and engaged in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. We need co-facilitators to help the trained Facilitator run these sessions.You will be helping and encouraging the person with Dementia to participate in the stimulating activities in a non judgemental and inclusive social environment .
