Do you like to fix things? We’d love you to join us if you have skills in repair – clothes, toys, bikes, appliances or other small items. The Nelson Repair Café is a community waste reduction initiative where our repairers share their knowledge and skills with visitors to fix things they might otherwise have to throw away.

The Whakatu Riding for the Disabled Group (WRDA) is situated in the beautiful Brook Valley close to Nelson City. We provide goal based horse riding activities, that increase the abilities, strength and confidence of people with various challenges. Our focus is to make a positive difference and our vision is to reach more riders and to change more lives. We have two qualified coaches and rely on a team of valued volunteers to support our riders.
