Brook Waimārama Sanctuary supported by Volunteer Nelson
Separate from volunteering inside the Sanctuary fence, there is always a need for 'backyard bird monitors'. As birds thrive within the relative safety of the Brook Waimārama Sanctuary, we anticipate some will spill into the surrounding areas of Nelson, Stoke and Richmond. Garden surveys can provide useful evidence of a halo effect around the sanctuary.

SPCA - Central East supported by Volunteering Services (BOP)
Tauranga SPCA is looking for volunteer foster families to help foster puppies! Fostering is hugely important to SPCA's success, our shelter is at capacity so having foster families means we are able to help more vulnerable animals that need help! As a foster parent we ask you provide a safe, secure space for young puppies to recover and grow. SPCA provides all equipment, training and support. Fostering is usually for 2-4 weeks at a time, the puppies are usually aged between 4-12 weeks
