This role ideal for a young person. Your Role as a Volunteer Coordinator: • To work alongside the national office (Dunedin) of Enabling Love & Friendship to build a presence within your region • Working together with local disability providers to coordinate events • Assist with marketing/promotion of events • Attend events to ensure they run smoothly • Seek new members through local community networking
We need volunteers to facilitate peer support educational grief and loss programmes for small groups of children, young people, and adults. With the material and training provided you will listen and support individuals within your group to share their experiences. During the programme your group will develop skills and understanding, restore self-esteem and self confidence.

If you love helping others, enjoy being part of a friendly and supportive team, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Volunteering in our shops is also one of the best ways to get work experience in the retail industry. Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across New Zealand. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.
