Do you thrive under pressure, love working in a team, and want to serve your community in a meaningful way? The Lake Taupō Volunteer Fire Brigade is looking for everyday community members (that’s you!) to join their courageous crew.

As a Volunteer Firefighter, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that responds to emergencies - from house fires to motor accidents, medical assists to the occasional feline rescue.

Your Key Tasks:

Responding to emergency call-outs

Attending regular training sessions

Maintaining equipment and gear

Supporting community education and safety events

The Purpose & Impact:

Every time that siren sounds, your courage and commitment could save lives, protect property, and support your neighbours. Your impact will be real, visible, and appreciated.

Time commitment:

Training is typically one evening per week, plus occasional weekends

Emergency call-outs are rostered and flexible

We work around your availability and provide full support
