At Alzheimers Tauranga we offer Cognitive Stimulation Therapy sessions which is a specific, evidence based programme of group activities and stimulation. The aim of CST is to get people's minds active and engaged in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. We need co-facilitators to help the trained Facilitator run these sessions.You will be helping and encouraging the person with Dementia to participate in the stimulating activities in a non judgemental and inclusive social environment .

Join our Emergency Services Food Bank Drive on Tuesday, December 3rd from 5:00 to 7:30 pm and support your community in a fun, collaborative way. Are you fit, energetic, and ready to get involved? Here’s your chance to team up with our local heroes—firefighters, police, and EMTs—to collect food donations that will keep our food banks stocked for the year ahead.

Volunteer with the Young Onset Dementia COGS Café group at Alzheimers Tauranga, supporting individuals aged 50-65 living with early-onset dementia. Engage in meaningful conversations and activities, helping provide socialisation, cognitive stimulation, and respite for both participants and their carers. This role would be beginning in Feb 2025

We are a small NGO and require all the volunteer support we can get to operate well, so we highly value the input that volunteers offer us here at Recreate.
