As Coastguard’s eyes in the sky, Air Patrol volunteers provide aerial search and observation support across the upper North Island. At present, Coastguard Northland Air Patrol is looking for experienced pilots and air crew to join the team.

As all of Coastguard Units are financially independent of the main national organization, Treasurers play a vital role in maintaining key relationships with external suppliers, auditors, financial advisors, sponsors, donors as well as Coastguard New Zealand.

They’re responsible for record-keeping and management of correspondence and administrative support to the Unit Committee. Secretaries are an important part of every Unit’s ability to keep everyone abreast of what is happening – from Unit Committee members and Unit volunteers as well as Coastguard New Zealand.
