Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manawatu works with young people who face adversity and need a positive role model, we enable life changing mentoring relationships that ignite youth potential.

BBBSM provide school and community-based mentorship programmes to young people providing a structured framework that brings young people together with a caring adult volunteer mentor who can offer advice, support and encouragement building an ongoing trusting relationship. Our volunteer Bigs spend time each week with their Littles, building resilience, teaching them about the world, creating hope, and having fun.

We make a real difference in the lives of young people we support but to make that difference a reality we need funding to professionally support our volunteers and administer the programme.

We are looking for a proficient administrator to help out a few hours a week doing the real mahi behind the service. This volunteer position entails assisting with grant writing, accountability reporting, approaching business leaders for sponsorship and organising fundraising events.

You must be proficient in the use of information technology, computers, Microsoft Office products, email and the internet. You will be a great communicator and able to use most forms of social media. Any marketing or office administration skills and experience valued.

Volunteer 2-4 hours a week (flexible working hours in the office 9 – 4 Monday to Thursday or work remotely when you want).
