Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across New Zealand. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

We are looking for volunteers to support the Curtain Bank on Richardson Street, Whakatāne. We need volunteers who can sew, and volunteers who can help sort, measure, and pack orders. We produce new curtains as well as up-cycle old donated curtains and re-line them before distributing them. The curtain bank is open Wednesday and Friday morning from 9:30 am to 12:00pm but volunteers can work outside those hours from home.
Keeping homes warm with appropriate curtains is essential to maintaining health and wellbeing. Our curtain bank volunteers use their skills to help people living in cold houses. We up-cycle old donated curtains and re-line them before distributing them. We urgently need volunteers who can sew, and volunteers who can help sort, measure, and pack orders. The curtain bank is open Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.
If you have a love for walking and the outdoors we would love to hear from you! We are looking for individuals to support the disabled partners we work with, to enjoy the great outdoors. You would be assisting people of different abilities to go for walks in their community, enhancing their wellbeing and fitness, and providing valuable companionship and encouragement.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with our Papamoa Hills Night Walk Fundraiser for 2024. The Night Walk will happen only on one night again - Saturday 20th July. Join us for a magical experience under the stars to support people facing a breast cancer diagnosis in our community.
