New Zealand Red Cross is looking for people who are willing and able to help in their local Red Cross Shop. If you love helping others and enjoy being part of a friendly and supportive team, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Volunteering in our shops is also one of the best ways to get work experience in the retail industry. In fact, volunteering for at least 3 months can help you get your certificate in Retail from Service IQ.
Help new Kiwis learn English. Learn how on our inspirational, NZQA-approved training course. Then work in partnership with a migrant or refugee-background learner.
Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across New Zealand. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

This position entails assisting with grant writing, accountability reporting, approaching business leaders for sponsorship and organising fundraising events.
