We need a tight, committed crew of helpers for our upcoming vibrant and wholesome family-fun event, the Tauranga Diwali Festival on 23 November 2024 from 3 - 9 pm at the Historic Village. Get ready to be immersed in the famous Festival of Lights, with your friends and whanau!
Keeping homes warm with appropriate curtains is essential to maintaining health and wellbeing. Our curtain bank volunteers use their skills to help people living in cold houses. We up-cycle old donated curtains and re-line them before distributing them. We need volunteers who can sew, and volunteers who can help sort, measure, and pack orders. The curtain bank is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning from 9am to 12pm.
Help us save lives by becoming a volunteer. We require volunteers to assist with serving refreshments to donors during the day at the NZ Blood Service donor centre in Tauranga.

We are a youth-based organisation, that believes in young people supporting young people. We work alongside youth with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, focusing on outdoor adventure based programmes. We work with over 200 youth in Auckland, Christchurch, the Waikato and BoP regions offering 170 various programmes per year. We are a small NGO and require all the volunteer support we can get to operate well, so we highly value the input that volunteers offer us here at Recreate.
