Timaru Disaster Welfare Support Team meets Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. weekly in summer every two weeks in Winter We are active volunteers working in our community helping with local events. Van Assistants travel in the van and assist the Van Driver to pick up and drop off the clients to and from the Totara Day Programme in Rangiora. Our vans have hoists for the clients to enter and exit the vans. Your role is to assist the clients on and off the van. No experience required.

Presbyterian Support have Day Programmes for older people operating in Christchurch, Monday to Friday. The programmes require Van Assistants. The Van Assistant's role is to travel with the Van Driver and transport the clients to and from the Day Programme.

Together Diverse
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for two hours, one evening per week. We run social groups for Autistic Adults and provide a fun and safe environment for them to gain confidence socialising. This improves their quality of life hugely. The group meet for different activities - from bowling to art to restaurants.
