Volunteer Nelson’s mission is to connect people to their community through volunteering. We offer a range of suitable opportunities for volunteers, regularly advertise for volunteers, recruit for specific roles, and provide training education and resources for volunteer managers and community groups. We also connect people to community organisations, clubs and support services through the Found Directory and Wellby programme (Wellby is in partnership with Age Concern).
Volunteer Nelson offers information and advice, advocates on behalf of volunteers and promotes volunteering in the community.
Volunteer Nelson also:
- runs Rangatahi in the Community, our youth volunteering programme
- has Drop-in Sessions in two Nelson libraries - alternating each Wednesday
- administers the Found Directory
