Are you passionate about hands-on learning, sustainability, and empowering young people? Join us as a volunteer with Young Pioneers or Upskillz! No matter your skill level, you can help children and young adults develop practical skills, build confidence, and connect with their community.
What You’ll Do as a Volunteer
Depending on your interests and experience, you could:
🌿 Assist with Young Pioneers – Help kids (ages 7-15) learn bushcraft, gardening, outdoor survival skills, and teamwork.
🛠️ Support Upskillz – Teach young adults (school leavers) practical skills like carpentry, tool use, mechanics, and self-sufficiency.
🧑🏫 Mentor & Encourage – Work alongside experienced facilitators to support young learners in a positive, hands-on environment.
🌱 Get Stuck In! – Help with community gardens, maintenance, and setting up engaging activities.
Skills & Experience Needed
No formal qualifications are required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved! However, any of the following would be beneficial:
✔️ Experience or interest in DIY, gardening, bushcraft, or outdoor activities.
✔️ Patience and a passion for working with children and young adults.
✔️ A keen attitude to learn and share knowledge.
✔️ A background in mentoring, teaching, or trades (helpful but not essential!).
