Health Action Trust – Te Mana Taki Hauora is a well-established not-for-profit organisation providing adult and youth mental health and addiction peer support and advocacy, health promotion and community wellbeing services across Te Tauihu for over 40 years.
Our purpose is using our lived experience to empower communities to enhance their wellbeing, connection and participation. We believe in the value of lived experience, strong communities, meaningful relationships and ensuring people have a genuine voice in the services and systems that affect them.
As our organisation and services continue to grow, we are looking for a new Trustee to join our Board and contribute to the future direction and governance of Health Action Trust. We would therefore love to hear from people who bring some of the following:
- Governance, leadership or strategic experience
- An understanding of mental health and addiction, health promotion, community or social services
- Financial, legal, property, business or organisational expertise
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity and inclusive practice
- Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute constructively around the Board table
- A genuine connection with, and commitment to, our local communities
