About the Role
Spectrum Connections Charitable Trust is seeking a passionate Volunteer Fundraising & Grants Specialist to help secure funding that enables us to provide education, advocacy and support for autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent individuals, their families and communities.
Working alongside the General Manager and Board of Trustees, you will help identify funding opportunities, prepare grant applications and support fundraising initiatives that contribute to the long-term sustainability of the Trust.
Key Responsibilities
As our Volunteer Fundraising & Grants Specialist, you will:
- Research and identify grant and funding opportunities.
- Assist with preparing and submitting funding applications.
- Develop relationships with local businesses, community funders and sponsors.
- Support the planning of fundraising campaigns and community events.
- Help identify sponsorship, partnership and donation opportunities.
- Track funding deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Board of Trustees.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong written communication skills.
- Good research skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- An interest in community development and the not-for-profit sector.
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship or marketing would be an advantage but is not essential.
Time Commitment
Approximately 2–5 hours per week, with flexible hours that can be completed remotely. Occasional attendance at meetings or fundraising events may be requested.
