Native plant propagator

Do you love plants, nature and contributing to environmental restoration? At our native nursery and vege garden in Porirua you will learn the art of growing NZ native plants and organic food sustainably. We offer a practical hands-on programme which will give you an introduction to working in horticulture or if you just want to be part of a team that's fine too. Learn how to source and germinate seeds: take cuttings: propagate plants: prune: make compost and contribute to keeping native plants from extinction. There is also the opportunity to do simple construction: mechanical repairs: pest control and other practical tasks. People with disabilities are welcome.
