Volunteer Roles Needed for CRAFT’s Christmas Concert: Oh Happy Day

Event Date: 7th December 2024 Location: St Mary's Immaculate Catholic Church Time: 7pm - 9pm Doors Open: 6.30

About Us: CRAFT Management Charitable Trust is hosting a vibrant Christmas Concert, bringing the community together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success! Your support will ensure that everyone attending enjoys a smooth, fun, and memorable experience.

We Are Looking for Volunteers in the Following Roles:

1. Ushers and Guest Assistance

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct guests to their seats.
  • Assist with ticket scanning and program distribution.
  • Provide helpful information about the venue and event schedule.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of guests before, during, and after the event.

Ideal for: Friendly, approachable individuals who enjoy helping people and can stand or move around for extended periods.

2. Food & Beverage Assistants

Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and beverages to attendees during the event.
  • Help restock supplies and monitor food stations.
  • Follow food safety protocols and assist with cleanup post-event.

Ideal for: Volunteers who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, enjoy interacting with the public, and have basic food handling knowledge.

3. Event Setup Crew

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with setting up the venue, including arranging chairs, tables, signage, and decorations.
  • Help prepare any technical equipment (lights, microphones, etc.) as directed.

Ideal for: Organized individuals who don’t mind hands-on work and can lift/move light objects.

4. Pack-down and Cleanup Crew

Responsibilities:

  • Help dismantle decorations, signage, and seating arrangements.
  • Assist with waste disposal and leave the venue clean and tidy.

Ideal for: Volunteers who are physically capable of light lifting and enjoy working in a team environment to wrap up the event efficiently.

5. General Event Support

Responsibilities:

  • Be ready to assist with any additional tasks that arise on the day, such as performer support, last-minute changes, or guest inquiries.
  • Provide extra help in any area to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Ideal for: Flexible and adaptable individuals who can step into different roles as needed and enjoy being part of a dynamic team.

6. Film & Sound Recording Crew

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recording the concert using film or sound equipment (cameras, microphones, etc.).
  • Capture high-quality footage and audio of performances, guest interactions, and other highlights.
  • Support the post-production team by organizing footage and audio recordings after the event.
  • Coordinate with the event staff to ensure all key moments are recorded.

Ideal for: Individuals with experience or interest in film and sound recording, who are familiar with basic equipment handling. Those looking to gain experience in event filming or sound engineering are also welcome!
