Property Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
Routine Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and other areas as needed.
Cleaning and Upkeep: Ensure that common areas, facilities, and outdoor spaces are clean, organized, and presentable.
Landscaping: Manage landscaping tasks, including mowing, planting, trimming, and maintaining gardens and lawns.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests, such as leaks, broken locks, or power outages.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring that necessary materials are stocked and available.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and any issues reported.
Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
Tenant Communication: Communicate effectively with tenants regarding maintenance issues, addressing their concerns and providing updates on repair status.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a relevant field is a plus. Proven experience in property maintenance or a related role. Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems would benefit. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
