As one of New Zealand's 63 Coastguard units across Aotearoa, Coastguard Queenstown, maintains and operates their own dedicated rescue vessel. These amazing volunteers respond to the call for help 24 hours a day 7 days a week across Lake Wakatipu and beyond. Last year, Coastguard Queenstown volunteers responded to numerous calls for help, and are the reason people came home safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help us promote our event and unit on social media platforms such as Facebook.
  • Create engaging posts, stories, and updates to generate awareness and drive ticket sales.
  • Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Share relevant content and updates about Coastguard Queenstown Unit to increase visibility and awareness.
  • Create a list of local businesses, organisations, and community groups who we can approach to sell tickets.
  • Coordinate ticket distribution and sales tracking efforts.
  • Provide regular updates on sales progress.
  • Help us liaise with local community groups, organizations, and event organizers to identify opportunities for Coastguard Queenstown to participate in or support events throughout the year, such as the A&P show.
