We need you to help us develop our fundraising reach, support our various communities’ activities throughout the year and expand the unit’s connections with people in the area.

Unit fundraisers are given a full induction on the role and training by Coastguard New Zealand’s fundraising team, and will receive continuous support, advice and guidance.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading fundraising activities for the Unit, including writing grant applications
• Organizing, planning and facilitating fundraising events as well as creating new ones
• Ensuring our community events are a key part of Coastguard’s fundraising calendar
• Networking locally within the community

Who we are looking for: A great fundraiser is someone who is:

• Enthusiastic, friendly and willing to get involved,
• Confident in speaking,
• Has general administration skills,
• The desire to add something extra to all those participating at the events,
• Is a team player.
