He Iwi Kotahi Tauranga Moana Charitable Trust is based in Tauranga , Bay of Plenty and creates events and opportunities for all of the Bay of Plenty residents. Our most notable event is the annual Waitangi Day Festival currently run at the Tauranga Historic Village.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new volunteer trustee to join the Board, someone with a passion for initiating, organising and coordinating appropriate educational opportunities which support the people of Tauranga Moana to come together as a community to share cultural experiences. This position is open to both experienced and aspiring Board Trustees and is a great opportunity to both contribute and learn along with us. The Board of Trustees is responsible for developing and delivering the Trust’s strategic goals, overseeing the management of the Trust’s resources, and for ensuring prudent financial management to ensure long-term sustainability. As well as extensive networks and highly developed relationship skills, a mix of any/all the following criteria is valued:

• Business and financial acumen at a governance or strategic advisory level;
• Experience in fundraising, communications, marketing and the administration of assets;
• Links with the local business sector
• An appreciation of the importance of the cultural history of New Zealand and of Tauranga Moana Tangata Whenua.
