The Nelson Environment Centre needs a volunteers to join the Kai Rescue team in their effort to rescue food that would otherwise go to landfill, and redistribute it to over 60 Nelson charities. You will be available on a weekday morning (subject to current need) for 1-3 hours between 9 am and 11.30 am/ 12 pm (with some flexibility for the right person).

The team of volunteers collect, sort and pack the rescued food from supermarkets, manufacturers and growers. They share the kai with many groups in the Nelson region that are running support services to help those in our community that are struggling to afford food. Your role would be to coordinate and support this team.
