STRATEGIC PLAN 2024-2034 Our Vision: Enable travel in the Nelson Tasman region that supports community well-being for everyone and enhances the health of our environment. Our Mission: Demonstrate approaches that enhance people's well-being whilst mitigating transport emissions, and that can effect behavioural change and be shared and inspire others. Our Values: 1. Be good ancestors, future-focused and recognise intergenerational wellbeing 2. Be resilient, responsive, innovative and evidence-based 3. Work in a collaborative, constructive manner for the benefit of all. Our Goals: 1. Empower and support affordable, accessible and sustainable travel alternatives that reduce reliance on single occupancy car travel and fossil fuel use. 2. Enhance community wellbeing by improving social connectedness and inclusiveness, supporting affordable services to isolated and outlying areas and, in particular, enable older and less able members to continue living in their communities. 3. In collaboration with others, complement and support transport initiatives by providing services that link to, and enhance existing and future services. 4. Working with communities, address community travel needs in an innovative way that minimises resource use and makes us more resilient in the face of climate change. 5. Enable youth to broaden their knowledge and experience by facilitating travel for them to take advantage of learning opportunities, and increase their awareness as global citizens. 6. Enact the principles of partnership, participation and protection by acknowledging Te Tiriti O Waitangi. 7. Champion the Trust's work by following good practice in our business operations with particular focus on finance, personnel, oversight and organisational efficiency. 8. Recognise and value community input and our volunteers for their contribution to the work of the Trust.
