The Rural Youth and Adult Literacy Trust is a non-profit organisation that assists adults and teenagers living in rural areas (or who are otherwise isolated) with reading and writing. Tuition is free and our literacy tutors can provide coaching sessions over the phone or through video-conferencing. There is nowhere in New Zealand that is too far away for us to help. We provide online training for volunteer literacy coaches, contact centre staff and community ambassadors. We also have volunteers in administration roles; graphic design, funding, editors, report writing and also tech support.
