The Programmes are designed for older people with memory loss and dementia. The Van Assistant travels in the back of the van with the clients. There is no driving involved. The clients chat to each other in the van and there can be some quite lively conversation. This role is weekly on a Friday morning from 8:30am - 11:00am. There are approximately 6 clients in each van. No experience in this role is required. The training will be given on the job. Please think of volunteering if you have time to give back. Volunteers gain as much from the experience as the clients. Volunteering can help with you gain confidence, learn new skills and make new friends.
