We require more amazing Volunteers to join GirlGuiding NZ to provide great Girl-Led programmes and activities for our Girls and Young Women. Join our passionate and supportive team in a well-established, long-standing organisation with growth potential. As a volunteer, you will:

  • Have a passion to inspire girls and young women to reach their full potential and learn new skills
  • Be encouraging, assertive, and patient
  • Be a hands-on leader and learner
  • Meet new people and become part of a worldwide network

During the school term, our GGNZ leaders:

  • Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hours
  • Helping plan the term’s activities and deliver them to the girls
  • Complete occasional evening/weekend training as required
  • Attend occasional leader/planning meetings, and trips or camps

Buckland Beach Pippins - Monday 4.00-5.00 pm Fan Tail Pippins - Tuesday 4.00 – 5.00 pm Pax Tu Brownies - Tuesday 4.15 – 5.45 pm Arawhai Guides - Tuesday 6 – 8 pm Tamariki Guides - Wednesday 6.00 – 8.00 pm Wakaaranga Rangers - Thursday 7.15 – 9 pm Pakuranga Rangers - Tuesday 7 – 9 pm

As a Leader you will: • Enjoy spending time with children aged between 5 - 17 years old • Meet regularly with a group of girls to help them work through fun and varied activities • Be encouraging, assertive and patient • Maintain a girl-led focus to ensure girls have a voice and have a role in planning activities

In return you will: • Receive free on-going training, support and uniform • Extend your leadership and communication skills • Meet new people and become part of a worldwide network • Make a real difference in your community • Have loads of fun and exciting opportunities come your way!

Groups meet once per week for 2 hours during term time. There is some planning required, but this can fit around your other commitments. If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of young women, please apply.
