If you were to become a Volunteer at one of our Day Programmes you will be there to support the staff and other Volunteers. There are many and varied activities that are offered during the day. The activities are different day to day. It could be bingo, indoor bowls, music, crafts or board games. If you don't want to be involved in the activities there are always cups of teas to make, serving of the meals and helping out in the background. There is an exercise programme that the clients participate from their armchairs. Everyone including the staff and Volunteers work together as a team. You will have an impact on these people life's just by being there to contribute to their amazing day out. If you want to have fun and make a difference to others, please think about applying. These programmes are full of laughter so be prepared to enjoy yourself. You may be looking for work experience, building your own self confidence or you may just want to be part of team. We have people from many different backgrounds volunteering for a variety of reasons. If you have had experience with older people that would be great, don't worry if you haven't, we will give you training on the job. The commitment is around 3 hours a week, but we can negotiate around you and whatever time you can give, we would truly appreciate.
