Technology changes constantly, including the apps and online services our website and projects rely on. As a volunteer-led organisation, our team has varying levels of digital skills. We need a practical IT volunteer to help manage our Google Workspace account, keep it working smoothly with our website and other apps, and make adjustments as needed. They will help us understand which updates and fixes are essential, which paid services offer real value, and which we can do without, explaining things in plain English.

We are looking for someone who: Is based in Auckland and can occasionally visit Blockhouse Bay. - Has practical knowledge of Google Workspace; administration experience would be an advantage. - Understands how websites and apps connect and exchange information, or is keen to develop these skills. - Takes privacy, confidentiality and account security seriously. - Enjoys solving problems and explaining technology in plain English. - Is patient, reliable, organised and comfortable working with people with varying levels of technical confidence. - Can make an ongoing commitment, with hours and availability agreed together. - An interest in conservation is welcome. Expertise in moths and butterflies is not required.
