Wairarapa Community Centre Trust

The Trust is seeking a qualified accountant to join our board as a volunteer Treasurer, dedicating approximately 8 hours per month to support our thriving community hub.

In this vital governance role, you will provide financial oversight for a vibrant organisation that manages a multi-tenant facility for non-profit social agencies and runs several food resilience programmes supported by a full-time manager, part-time staff, and over 100 dedicated volunteers. We require an individual with a recognised professional accountancy qualification who has experience in Public Benefit Accounting Standards and the requirements of the Charities Act. The role oversees annual budgets and internal controls, prepares annual financial statements and translates monthly financial reports into clear, plain English for fellow trustees.
