Volunteer Mentor

We are looking for volunteer mentors to work one-on-one with young people aged 8–16. Mentors are expected to meet with their assigned young person for one hour each week throughout the duration of the 20 week programme. The primary role of a mentor is to provide consistent, positive adult support — someone who listens, encourages, and helps the young person build confidence and resilience. Mentors work alongside their young person to set and work toward achievable goals, whether related to school, wellbeing, or personal development. Activities may include sharing interests, supporting growth, or simply spending quality time together. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life. The goal is to build a strong, trusting relationship that supports their development and wellbeing — and may even grow into a life-long connection.
