Expression of Interest: Volunteer Board Members – Help Shape the Future of PIPS & make a lasting difference.
PIPS – Pregnancy Infancy Parenting Support is seeking expressions of interest for new volunteer Board Members to help guide PIPS into our next chapter.
For 50 years, PIPS has been supporting whānau through pregnancy and early parenting, providing practical, accessible and free assistance to families in need.
As we look towards the next 50 years, we are seeking to grow our Board with people who are passionate about making a difference in their community and keen to contribute their skills, experience and connections to a small, well-established Christchurch charity. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future direction of PIPS and strengthen our ability to reach more whānau and make an even greater impact across our community.
About the opportunity: Our Board provides governance, strategic direction and oversight for PIPS, working alongside our Manager and team to ensure the organisation remains sustainable, effective and responsive to the needs of our community.
While previous governance experience is preferred, we are particularly interested in hearing from people with skills in:
Fundraising and income generation, major partnership development and key relationship management
Marketing, communications, PR or brand promotion Digital strategy, technology
Strategic thinking and helping a charity build its profile and reach
We’re looking for committed, connected and strategic people who are passionate about our work and want to play an active role in helping shape our future. Strong networks and a willingness to open doors, build relationships and identify new opportunities are highly valued.
This is an active volunteer governance role. We’re looking for people who will roll up their sleeves, share their skills and connections, and go the extra mile to help PIPS grow its profile, partnerships and fundraising in an increasingly competitive funding environment. Board meetings are currently held monthly, with additional involvement in committees, events and opportunities throughout the year.
