The Kāpiti Repo Restoration Group is bringing a wetland in Queen Elizabeth Park back to life. Your mahi helps mitigate climate change and enhance local biodiversity by restoring part of the Kāpiti Coast's former 'Great Swamp' to a healthy, thriving repo. On the day, volunteers join in hands-on restoration activities such as planting native seedlings, weeding, and general site care, guided by the group's coordinator. It is relaxed, sociable, and works at a pace that suits everyone. Over time, volunteers build practical skills in native planting and habitat restoration, learn about local ecology, and connect with others who care about the Kāpiti Coast.
