The Kāpiti Seniors Expo, Thrive!, brings older people from across the Kāpiti Coast together for a day of information, activities, and connection. Your mahi on the day helps everything run smoothly and helps visitors feel cared for and comfortable. On the day you might:
● Welcome people as they arrive in the foyer ● Help with traffic flow in the main hall, so it's easy to get around ● Keep an eye out for anyone who needs a seat, some help, or a friendly chat, including people on their own or with mobility needs ● Support health and safety in the hall, for example letting an organiser know if something needs attention ● If you hold a current first aid certificate, let us know when you sign up, this isn't required but it's helpful to know
You'll be rostered for part of the day between 9.30am and 2.30pm, with breaks, and time to enjoy the expo yourself. This role builds confidence talking with people, teamwork, and event experience, all useful skills whatever you do next.
