🚗 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: DUNGA RUN CONTENT & MEDIA CREW

TimeOut Charitable Trust is looking for a Content & Media Volunteer to join us for the inaugural Dunga Run this November.
Think 8 days, 20 crazy cars, 2,600+ km of back roads, big personalities, plenty of laughs and some seriously epic scenery.
And your job?
Capture it all. 📸🎥🚁
The Dunga Run is a fundraising adventure created to raise money for TimeOut Charitable Trust, helping us provide free holiday-home stays for New Zealanders living with terminal illness and their families.
This is our very first Dunga Run, and we want to capture the people, the cars, the adventure, the unexpected moments and the incredible community behind it so we can tell the story of this event for years to come.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll travel with the Dunga Run support crew and capture content throughout the event, including:
📸 Photography of teams, cars, people and locations
🎥 Video and behind-the-scenes footage
🚁 Drone footage of the cars, scenery and event where appropriate
📱 Short-form content for social media
🎬 Capturing the fun, chaos and memorable moments as they happen
❤️ Helping tell the story of why we Dunga and the difference it makes for TimeOut
We’re not necessarily looking for a professional filmmaker. We’re looking for someone who knows how to spot a great moment and capture it.
You might be perfect for this if you…
• Love photography and/or videography
• Have experience creating social media content
• Know your way around a camera, phone, GoPro or drone
• Have a good eye for interesting shots and storytelling
• Are comfortable working independently and taking initiative
• Enjoy being around people and getting stuck in
• Can handle a little dust, mud, early mornings and unpredictable Dunga behaviour! 😆
• Have a current drone licence/CAA certification if you want to fly a drone during the event
The big part…
This isn’t a desk job.
You’ll be on the road with us for the Dunga Run, experiencing the event as it happens and becoming part of the crew.
You’ll get to see some amazing parts of New Zealand, meet our fantastic teams and supporters, and help create the visual story of an event we hope will become an annual fundraiser for TimeOut.
Most importantly, your work will help us show people what their support makes possible for families facing terminal illness.
