Depending on your interests and experience, you may help with:

  • Event preparation and coordination – registrations, equipment, signage, venue setup and pack-down
  • On-the-day event support – welcoming guests, providing directions, assisting performers and keeping activities running smoothly
  • Community engagement – talking with participants, gathering feedback and helping people learn about BFEA programmes
  • Volunteer coordination – helping organise volunteers and allocating tasks during larger events
  • Stakeholder engagement – supporting communication with community groups, schools, local organisations and other partners
  • Event improvement – contributing ideas and helping us evaluate what worked well and what could be improved

As you gain experience, there may be opportunities to take ownership of parts of an event or community project.

No previous experience required. You may be a good fit if you are:

  • Friendly and comfortable working with people from different backgrounds
  • Reliable, organised, and willing to take initiative
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Knowledgeable or passionate about East Auckland
  • Longer-term commitment preferred but not required
  • Additional languages, event experience, and driver's license are helpful but not required.
