Van Assistant/Day Programme Volunteer

Presbyterian Support Enliven Day Programmes, in Linwood Christchurch.
The programmes give older people a place to meet up and share time together.
The programmes are designed to keep people socially active and enjoy their day away from home. The clients attend the Day Programmes at least once a week. Either on a Tuesday or Thursday.
The Afternoon shift is from 1:00pm - 4:30pm.
The first part of the shift is assisting the staff in the Day Programmes with dishes, afternoon tea and activities.

At 2:30pm you are the Van Assistant and travel in the back of the van with the clients transporting the clients back to their homes.
The clients chat to each other in the van and there can be some quite lively conversation.
This a fun role and a warm caring personality is what is needed.
No experience in this role is required. The training will be given on the job.
A Volunteers come from all walks of life, please think of volunteering if you have time to give back. Volunteers gain as much from the experience as the clients.
