Wellington Regional Volleyball Association (WRVA)
Volunteer Position | Commencing September 2026

Are you passionate about community sport and have experience in finance, bookkeeping, reporting, or governance?

The Wellington Regional Volleyball Association (WRVA) is seeking a motivated and reliable volunteer to help strengthen the organisation's financial foundations and support its continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to volleyball in the Wellington region by helping establish strong financial practices, improving reporting rhythms, and ensuring sound financial stewardship. WRVA places a strong emphasis on financial oversight, accountability, and sustainable governance.

Working closely with the Board, the successful volunteer will support:

  • Financial record keeping and administration
  • Budget monitoring and reporting
  • Preparation of regular financial reports for Board meetings
  • Financial planning and governance oversight
  • Building sustainable systems and processes that support the future success of WRVA

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help build systems and processes from the ground up. Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, business management, or governance is desirable but not essential.

What you need to know

  • Volunteer (unpaid) position
  • Available to commence from 20 September 2026
  • Attendance at monthly Board hui is essential (online)
  • Opportunity to make a lasting impact on the growth and sustainability of volleyball in the Wellington region
  • Flexible workload that can largely be managed remotely

If you're looking for a rewarding way to contribute your skills to a community-focused sporting organisation and help shape the future of regional volleyball, we'd love to hear from you.
