We have an exciting new group called Resilient Communities and are looking for passionate community members to help us build local resilience from the ground up.

You don't need to be an expert to get involved. We are currently welcoming

volunteers who want to help shape our network across four core pillars:

Whakamaru (Emergency Preparedness): Supporting local emergency readiness and disaster hubs.

Hauora (Well-being): Fostering mental, emotional, and social connection and support.

Kai & Environment: Growing local food, caring for our ecosystem, and promoting sustainability.

Skills & Economy: Sharing practical everyday knowledge, trades, and grassroots resourcefulness.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Attending our regular get-togethers on the last Sunday of the month.

• Helping out with hands-on community initiatives based on your interests and strengths.

• Opportunities to guide and champion one of our core resilience areas.

If you’d like to be part of a brand-new, grassroots movement, meet wonderful, like-minded locals, share your unique skills, gain opportunities to learn and be part of a group that cares for the community - get in touch with us today!
