Event volunteering on 15th November

Saravá Fest Volunteer Team – Coronation Park - Sunday 15th November 2026

As a Saravá Fest volunteer, you’ll be part of the team helping us create a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture at Coronation Park, Mount Maunganui.

As an event volunteer, you may assist with:

• Promoting Saravá Fest in the lead-up to the event.
• Helping with event setup and preparing the festival spaces.
• Welcoming and assisting attendees throughout the day.
• Supporting workshops, performances, activities and community areas.
• Helping exhibitors, artists and community partners when needed.
• Assisting with general event coordination and keeping the festival running smoothly.
• Helping with pack-down after the event.

A full volunteer briefing will be provided prior to the event, including your role, responsibilities, schedule, meeting point, health and safety information, and everything you need to know on the day.

Whether you can help before the festival, on the day, during pack-in or pack-down, or a combination of these, your time and commitment will make a real difference in creating a warm, inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

We are looking for volunteers who are:

• Friendly, welcoming and enjoy working with people.
• Confident communicators with good interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable interacting with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Organised, reliable and willing to learn.
• Punctual and able to commit to their agreed volunteer shift.
• Positive, flexible and happy to be part of a busy community event.
