IHC is seeking friendly, reliable volunteers to build genuine one-on-one friendships with local adults with intellectual disabilities. This role focuses on companionship, shared interests, and getting out into the community.
What You’ll Do
Spend regular time with your matched friend, enjoying activities you both like.
What We’re Looking For
Friendly, easy-going and social individuals, someone reliable who lives nearby and who has a genuine interest in building a meaningful friendship. We have clients who are keen to make a new friend and enjoy a wide range of activities which include:
- Going for a coffee and / or a drive with a friend / chatting with a friend
- Walking / going to the gym / fishing / building items with power tools
- Creating art, watching movies, listening to music
- Going to rugby and other sports matches or watching these on TV
- Going to the theatre, baking, going ten pin bowling

Requirements
- Aged 18 years or over
