Fundraising Co-lead

Porirua Newcomers Hapori Kaiwhakatere Inc (PNHK) is a small, charitable organisation which oversees the role of Refugee/Migrant Community Navigator.  Since 2020, the Navigator has been a much needed and effective service making a tangible difference in Porirua and Tawa.  

With close to 500 referrals supporting over 20 different nationalities so far, the Navigator provides information, guidance and advocacy for a wide range of issues.  This includes education opportunities and employment, navigating government systems, accessing essential services and interpreters, and community participation.  

We are looking for someone work alongside our existing funding coordinator to explore fresh ideas for new potential funding avenues.  Ideally, you will have relevant fundraising experience and connections, and a knack for writing fantastic a funding pitch and applications.  

The time commitment needed for the role isn’t huge, but the impact of keeping the Community Navigator role up and running makes a real difference to people’s lives.  We need secure and sufficient funding to ensure this happens.
