Fundraising Coordinator: Bellyful Waimakariri

Helps bring the wider community in behind the mahi by activating local fundraising, supporting campaigns like Macaroni March and Spaghetti September, and making it easy for people to get involved.

About the Role

This can be a shared role, where two or more people work together to bring the community in behind the mahi.

The Fundraising Coordinators help create simple, local ways for people to support Bellyful, whether that’s a quiz night, a movie night, a school fundraiser, or a local business getting behind your branch. It’s about connection, creativity and making it easy for people to give back.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be supported by Bellyful’s fundraising platform and resources, so you’re not starting from scratch. This role is about bringing that to life in your community by:

• Organising a couple of simple fundraising events each year (e.g. quiz night, movie night, high tea)
• Encouraging local schools, workplaces and community groups to get involved
• Bringing campaigns like Macaroni March and Spaghetti September to life locally

You’ll also have access to your branch’s page on our fundraising platform, where people can easily donate or set up their own fundraisers. The tools, ideas, and resources are already there, this role is about activating them locally and helping your community get behind the mahi.

How It Works

This role is flexible and can be shared. You might divide activities, focus on different ideas, or support each other around events.

You’ll work closely with your Branch Coordinator, Treasurer, Social Media Coordinator, with support from Bellyful NZ and access to ideas, tools, and national campaigns.

Time Commitment
Around 4–6 hours per month each, depending on how the role is shared and upcoming activities.
