WCCT is a long-standing charitable trust dedicated to reducing food insecurity and improving community wellbeing. Through our programmes, volunteers and partnerships, we support thousands of local people every year.
Our work includes:
Food Resilience Programmes
- A well-established organic community garden that supplies fresh produce while teaching people how to grow their own food.
- A commercial kitchen, pantry and chiller facilities where we prepare and distribute approximately 5,000 free emergency meals each year.
- Budget-friendly cooking classes that help people prepare nutritious meals.
- Rescue and processing of donated venison and other surplus livestock to provide quality protein for families in need.
Community Hub
We own and manage the community hub at 41 Perry Street, Masterton, which provides office space, meeting facilities and a commercial kitchen for organisations supporting the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of our community.
Our Governance Team
Our Board currently comprises five experienced trustees working alongside a full-time Manager with more than 12 years in the role, part-time administration staff and around 140 dedicated volunteers.
