Retail Sales Volunteer

Enjoy meeting people? Like helping visitors find something special to take home? We’d love to have you on the Classic Flyers Gift Shop team!

We’re looking for volunteers to help out in our busy little shop — the first and last stop for many of our visitors. No two days are the same, and you’ll meet locals, tourists, families, and aviation fans from all over.

You’ll be helping with things like:

• Serving customers and answering questions
• Processing sales on the till/EFTPOS (training provided)
• Restocking shelves and keeping displays tidy
• Keeping the shop looking welcoming and organised
• Helping during busy periods, events, and museum activities
• Providing friendly customer service to everyone who comes through the door

You don’t need retail experience just a friendly attitude, a willingness to learn, and confidence talking to people.

We’re looking for people who are:

• Friendly and approachable
• Reliable and keen to help
• Comfortable in a busy environment
• Happy working as part of a team
• Available on weekends or the occasional weekday

As a volunteer, you’ll become part of the Classic Flyers team and enjoy Cashback rewards and benefits at the AvGas Café.

There is a one‑off $36 volunteer membership fee, which covers your hi‑vis jacket. The full $36 is then loaded onto your AvGas Café Rewards Card for you to spend in the café.
