The Role:

We're looking for proactive and friendly Local Coordinators to support our local GirlGuiding community. Sometimes described as a Leader of Adults, you'll act as the key link between local leaders and the wider national organisation. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys coordinating, problem-solving, and helping volunteers thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for leaders in your area.
  • Support and encourage leaders in their roles.
  • Help organise local events and activities.
  • Facilitate clear communication between leaders and GirlGuiding NZ.
  • Keep track of how local groups are going and flag where more support is needed.

Skills & Qualities:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and supportive.
  • Enjoy working with and supporting other volunteers.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and follow through on commitments.
  • Guiding experience is helpful but not essential.
