Maintenance Officer

Purpose of the role:

The Maintenance Officers oversee the condition, safety, and upkeep of KOAA’s murals and public artworks, ensuring they remain well‑maintained and culturally respected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Condition checks — Conduct regular inspections of murals and artworks.
  • Maintenance scheduling — Identify required repairs, cleaning, or restoration and schedule contractors as needed.
  • Safety — Ensure all maintenance work meets safety standards and public access requirements.
  • Record keeping — Maintain a log of inspections, repairs, and restoration activities.
  • Reporting — Provide updates to the committee on maintenance needs and completed work.

Estimated Time Commitment

Variable depending on mural condition and season (typically 2–4 hours per month, with occasional higher periods during restoration cycles).
