Librarian Helper
The Librarian Helper supports the Toy Librarian in keeping the toy library organised, welcoming, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on role that helps ensure families have access to clean, safe, and complete toys.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with checking toys in and out during library sessions. Helping inspect returned toys for cleanliness, damage, and missing pieces. Cleaning and sanitising toys as required. Sorting, counting, and replenishing toy pieces. Shelving and organising toys in their correct locations. Helping prepare toys for repairs or retirement. Assisting with new toy processing, including labelling and packaging. Maintaining a tidy and welcoming library environment. Supporting the Librarian with stocktakes and general organisation. Assisting members with finding suitable toys when needed. Helping set up and pack down for library sessions.
