About the role Recipient Coordinators accept referrals received online and match them with available meals and delivery volunteers. It's about coordination and connection, making sure meals reach the right people, at the right time, in a simple and consistent way.

This is a shared role, where two people work together to coordinate referrals and connect whānau with meals. You'll help make sure meals reach the right people at the right time in a way that is simple, respectful and consistent.

What You'll Do • Review referrals using the information provided on the form, keeping things simple and consistent • Confirm you have the information needed to coordinate delivery, rather than gathering additional information • Match deliveries with available volunteers • Allocate meals based on family size • Keep track of freezer stock and meal availability • Share the key information needed for delivery • Keep things organised so deliveries run smoothly • Induct new Delivery Volunteers Referrals are designed to come through with what's needed, so the focus of this role is on coordinating support, rather than assessing or collecting further details.

How It Works This role is flexible and shared. What matters most is clear communication, good organisation and creating a positive experience for volunteers and recipients. You'll be supported by your Branch Coordinator and Bellyful NZ, and work closely with Delivery Volunteers and Freezer Holders.

Time Commitment Around 2–4 hours per week, or approximately 15 hours per month.
